if you like good beers and good food (who doesn't?), you should check out this place. this is one of my husband's favorite restaurants. he went out for dinner with his co-workers one night. and as soon as he got home, he started talking about how good it was. i still remember his shiny eyes, like a little boy :)

i ordered "smoked salmon egg benedict" (front).
and my husband enjoyed "corn beef hash".
they made the best poached eggs i have ever had.

i'm still here.

i have to apologize that it has been a while since i last updated my blog. i received some emails from my customers asking if everything is ok. yes, i am doing fine. thanks for asking. thought i should update my blog so people know that i hadn't fallen off the edge of this planet:) i've been thinking about new designs. try a little bit. and changed a little bit until i'm really happy with it. here are some new kinchaku pouches. yes, i'm happy.

spring is around the corner. i start seeing flowers coming out here and there.
i hope it gets a little warmer soon. so i can finally give up on my thick stockings :)

etsy front page.

my passport cover was on the front page of etsy. i couldn't see it myself. but one of my etsy friend kindly sent me a "good job" email. love all the beautiful work.

our hearts are in japan.

a day passed in japan after it was struck by a devastating tsunami and earthquake. my family live in japan, not in the area where it happened, but i tried to contact them as soon as possible. my family, relatives and friends are all ok. just watching the new on tv scares me a lot. i cried for the people who went through this tragedy. our hearts are in japan... thank you so much for your concerns and helps from all over the world. we are strong. we will get through this. i believe it.

place to go : room 6 in deep cove.

deep cove is where i want to live. seems perfect place for family. nice people, beautiful dogs, great view and lovely stores. room 6 is one of them. when i first stepped in the shop, i felt like i was in a different world. time stopped all of a sudden. i gurantee that you can find something for you or for someone you love.

back to canada. back to sewing.

i'm back from japan. still jet lagged.... my two week vacation went by very quickly. i think i spent most of the days on shopping and meeting people. (oh, and i got sick, too) i need more time next time. probably my husband will make it. i hope so.

one of my favorite things to do in japan is to check out japanese fabrics. they are completely irresistible. i just can't help adding more to my stock. (i don't know where to store them any more...) here are some pouches i made today using the fabrics i just brought back.
they make me smile :)

i'm very excited about going to japan to visit my family. yes, i've been waiting for this. what to do, what to buy, what to eat.... and where to go. i can't stop thinking about it. too bad that my husband can't come along this time. i will make sure to pick up something nice for him :)
my plan to kill time on the flight (10 hours!) is to read. i'm a big fan of tv drama, dexter. thought it would be good to read. plus, reading in english makes me sleepy. i hope i can sleep on the flight. can you ever sleep??
